Haven Diaries – Schools out? Our Summer Camp has you covered!

We are in the craziest of times! Outside of being rushed out of Sierra Leone during war times, it doesn’t get crazier than this. The world is experiencing a revolution of sorts. The craziest part is that we cannot see the enemy.

So here we are stuck at home, locked down, with irritable children who for the most part do not understand why they are not in school playing with their friends. So many parents have expressed that it has been challenging. If I hear “I am bored” one more time, I might start impulsively convulsing!

And then there are charitable organisations like The Haven who are having a hard time figuring out how to raise funds to keep vital services going at a time when they are most needed. Fundraising events have all been canceled until further notice!

But when fundraising teams came to terms with the fact that they would have to embrace virtual experiences and think outside the box, some amazing ideas were born. One of them is the upcoming Haven Digi Summer Camp which I happily created the following video to promote:

Please support women and children who are vulnerable and at risk of domestic abuse by making a donation and you get the pack.

There is something for everyone in the pack:
– Bush crafting including making mud monsters and nature compasses
– Star Gazing and learning about the Universe
– Fort Making
– S’mores and Toasted Marshmallows activities
– Interactive videos
– Leaf Printing and Nature bingo
– And much much more!

This will be your pack to keep; you can do one activity a day or plan a whole summer camp adventure, the choice is yours – your camp, your way!

It is only £5 per household, to sign up visit our website www.havenrefuge.org.uk!
